Turning Webwise Off

Webwise is One of the tools used by Phorm and the ISP's to direct controlled advertising your way during your net browsing time.
The default setup option for this service is set to Switch On what is a poor decision made has this service is being forced on net users.

If you want to opt out of this service you will have to do it manually by choosing Switch Off Webwise on the following link below: -
http://www.webwise.com/privacy/opt/out.html

A cookie named OIX.net will be installed onto the PC from Webwise and must not be deteleted so Webwise be kept switched off.
Alternatively you can add OIX.net to your broswer site blocked list if the cookie is deleted (has stated on the Webwise Site).

If you have more then One PC in the office or home then this will have to be done on each PC manually what could be time consuming.
If Webwise in the future sets the default to Off instead of On then fair play but until then down with the phorm and down with Webwise.

Earthquake Britian 2008

On the early hours of Wednesday 27th February 2008, Britian had a small earthquake measuring at 5.2 on the richter scale.
According to news reports from TV, net and newspapers that there was some minor damage to homes and the buildings a like.

My own personal experience of this recent quake I felt nothing apart from hearing a big bang like something had fallen to the ground.
There was no ground shaking feeling with the comparison of a previous quake experience in 2002 in the Midlands region of Britain.
